Rosebud Stadium Update

It has been close to a month since we last updated our community on the progressions since the fire at our Rosebud Stadium, however, we now have some positive updates to share with everyone.

Final contracts have been signed and works have begun on repairing our Stadium.  These works will be completed in two phases, with a focus of making the courts useable again a priority.

Phase 1 (commenced)

Total roof replacement & court surface repairs

Phase 2 (will commence after the completion of Phase 1)

Administration area rebuild

It is estimated that we will have full functionality, including the administration area being re-built and useable by the start of Term 1 2020, however, we hold onto hope that it could be earlier.

This does mean that the following will continue to be in place for our members, again, whilst not ideal, it is the best we can do given the circumstances;

  • Saturday competition will continue to conclude at 4pm
  • Monday nights will continue to have a rotating bye
  • Monday nights will continue to have 9:45pm games
  • Some of our Junior Sharks trainings will continue to be held at external venues
  • All Senior Sharks team trainings will continue to be held at external venues

The Southern Peninsula Basketball Association again thanks everyone for their outpouring of support in this time.  We appreciate the understanding and acceptance of our members and look forwards to operating across all five of our own courts again in the near future.
